So are you really excited about buying a new aquarium? 

But this cannot be so simple! 
So today we will talk about Points to be remembered while buying a new aquarium.

•Freshwater or Saltwater

So there are two types of fish tanks available the first is Freshwater which simply means it houses freshwater. 
The other is Saltwater fish tanks are a recreation of the ocean-like environment in our fish tanks saltwater fishes have more vibrant colors and are of exotic types, like everyone's favorite Nemo is also a saltwater fish. 

But be warned, saltwater aquariums require considerably more maintenance, are expensive and saltwater fishes are more delicate. 
So if you are a beginner consider a freshwater fish tank. 


Plantation or simple

In freshwater tanks, we have an Artificial setup which is completely artificial with silicon plants and artificial decor items and the other one is a Plantation tank, an actual plantation of real aquatic plants 
The choice is yours, just keep in mind the maintenance may vary. 

Fish and Tank size. 

The size of your tank is a very important consideration when picking out new fish. You want them to have room to swim around, The tank size and shape differ according to the fish to want to keep. Go for bigger tanks with more volume. Here's why

A community tank is where you keep different species in the same tank
When putting together a community of fish, you want to be sure to select ones that will get along.
Always tell the shop owner about which fishes you have at home while buying new ones. They will tell you if you can keep them together. 


Make a checklist

Expenses include the aquarium and stand, hood and light, filter, gravel, decorations, water, net, and cleaning supplies. All that in addition to the fish, as well as their food. Make a thorough checklist and go online or to a pet store, then write down the costs for all the items you are interested in. Sit down and determine what your bottom line cost is before you make your decision. 


Food and care requirements of fishes

Be aware of the food and care requirements of the species that interest you. You need to provide proper temperature and good water parameters.
